1923-1947
The Beginnings
Edward Roth, the great-grandfather of the 3rd generation owner, Jared, worked at Sach's Quality Furniture Inc. from 1923 to 1940 before moving to Syracuse to join Roy's Furniture. In 1947, Edward established Robert's Furniture, where his sons, Robert and Berkley, later joined him.
1965
Ethan Allen in CNY
The Roth brothers left their father's business to create a new legacy with Ethan Allen, opening their first store in 1965.
1968
A Second Store in Syracuse
With the success of the first location, a second store opens in Dewitt, NY to serve the east side of Syracuse.
1972
A Legacy Begins in Rochester
Continuing their growth, the company expands into the Rochester market, opening a new store at Eastview Mall in Victor, NY.
1972-2015
Commitment & Growth
The dedication to quality and innovation has been passed down through the generations. Robert's son, Gary, joined the family business in 1983, and his son Jared became part of the proud tradition in 2011. With a client focus in mind, in 2015 they acquired an offsite service center to provide an unparalleled level of service and in-house white glove delivery.
2022-2024
A Design Shift
The new design studio concept on Erie Blvd in Dewitt opened in November of 2022, heightening the focus on interior design. The business model has flourished, leading to the expansion of another design studio on Monroe Avenue in Rochester, that opened in May of 2024.
